Matthew Morris

Welcome!

I am a geoscientist and postdoctoral researcher currently working at Imperial College London to identify upstream sources of UK river pollution, as part of the UNSaFE project. Previously I worked with Gareth Roberts, Fred Richards, and Alex Lipp during my PhD at Imperial to develop new methods for recovering histories of uplift and erosion from present-day topography, funded by EPSRC. Knowing these histories can potentially help with understanding sea level changes, how the Earth's mantle has flowed, and the evolution of biologic life through time. Prior to this, I worked in the Insurance industry for several years, modelling natural and man-made catastrophic events (earthquakes, hurricanes, terrorism, cyber attacks), having completed my undergraduate degree at Imperial.
